Community Forum on the use of E-Bikes

On Friday, 28 June, a community forum was hosted to discuss the increasing impact of e-bikes in Cook. The session included local residents, cycling clubs, e-bike retailers, and representatives from Sutherland Shire Council and the Cronulla Chamber of Commerce. Discussions centred on improving road rule enforcement, imposing stronger penalties for misuse, and enhancing cycling infrastructure. Mayor Pesce committed to upgrading signage and bike racks in Cronulla Mall. Another forum will be held in October to review progress and ensure e-bikes are used safely and responsibly within the community.
